PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical fiber cable which can be easily taken out from inside without damaging an optical fiber.SOLUTION: An optical fiber cable includes: an optical fiber; a pair of tensile strength bodies 41a, 41b placed across the optical fiber; a pair of coating layers 12a, 12b for coating the pair of tensile strength bodies 41a, 41b; and a sheath 13 for coating the optical fiber and the pair of coating layers 12a, 12b overall. At a position between flat surfaces S1, S2 including apices 14a, 14b, 15a, 15b of the pair of coating layers 12a, 12b, the optical fiber is placed. Around the optical fiber, the sheath 13 is separated. The sheath 13 is not fused with or bonded to the pair of coating layers 12a, 12b from the apices 14a, 14b, 15a, 15b of the pair of coating layers 12a, 12b over to a side surface on the optical fiber side but is fused with or bonded on a remoter side from the optical fiber than the apices 14a, 14b, 15a, 15b of the pair of coating layers 12a, 12b. |
