1. An optical fiber assembly for mating with a mating component along a mated axis, the optical fiber assembly comprising:
a housing, the housing including a mating face for mating with the component and defining a housing axis; a ferrule, the ferrule including a plurality of optical fibers positioned therein and a front face; a cover, the cover being slidably mounted on the housing adjacent the mating face; and a mating guide, the mating guide being disposed at an angle to the housing axis to guide relative movement of the housing from a first operative position at which the housing axis is spaced from the mated axis to a second operative position at which the housing axis is generally aligned with the mated axis. |
