<p>The present invention provides a method for fabricating a metal base, which is applied to an external case, a housing, and a back cover including metal in a cellular phone, a laptop computer, various appliances, a business card case, a vehicle, and an aircraft, and capable of improving durability and corrosion resistance and suppressing an electromagnetic wave while providing a metallic texture by treating the surface of the metal base including magnesium (Mg), an Ma alloy, aluminum (Al), an Al alloy, titanium (Ti), a Ti alloy, copper (Cu), a Cu alloy, silver (Ag), an Ag alloy and easily oxidized, and the surface of a protective layer as well as a passivation layer for a structure pattern. As described above, the method fro fabricating the metal base according to the present invention includes the steps of: forming the passivation layer on the surface of a front housing and the frame of a middle frame through the reaction with a passivation solution in the state that the metal base having the front housing and the middle frame formed integrally with each other is dipped into an alcohol based solution or a ketone based passivation solution heated at a heat temperature for passivation treatment; and forming the coating layer through a coating process to protect the surface of the front housing having the passivation layer.</p> |
