The present invention relates to an engine control system for a vehicle and, more specifically, to an engine control system comprising a voltage sensor outputting signals based on the status of the vehicle; a cooling fan motor controlling the motion of a cooling fan; a cooling fan motor control unit checking the driving state of the cooling fan motor; and an engine control unit which communicates with the voltage sensor and the cooling fan motor control unit and controls the compensation for RPM of the engine of the vehicle when the cooling fan motor is driven.
