PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image recording method which does not decrease mold releasability of an intermediate image from an intermediate transfer body.SOLUTION: An image recording method includes a release layer forming process of forming a release layer on an intermediate transfer body, an intermediate image forming process of forming an intermediate image by imparting an ink to the release layer formed on the intermediate transfer body, and a transfer process of transferring the intermediate image to a recording medium. The release layer forming process includes a liquid composition imparting step of imparting a liquid composition containing a resin onto the intermediate transfer body, and a reaction liquid composition imparting step of imparting a reaction liquid coagulating the resin in the liquid composition onto the intermediate transfer body so as to overlap with at least a part of an area to which the liquid composition is imparted. |
