PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a novel metallic compound which is promising as a novel functional material and the like.SOLUTION: The metallic compound includes at least one structure site derived from a heteropolyoxometalate compound containing a defective structure site. The heteropolyoxometalate compound has a structure where a poly-atom coordinates to a heteroatom via an oxygen atom. The metallic compound has a structure site derived from a heteropolyoxometalate compound containing at least one defective structure site selected from the group consisting of one defective structure site, two defective structure site, and three defective structure site, and contains a metal atom different from the hetero atom and the poly-atom. The one defective structure site-containing heteropolyoxometalate compound and the two defective structure site-containing heteropolyoxometalate compound contain at least one hetero atom selected from the group consisting of P, Si, Ge, and Zn, and the three defective structure site-containing heteropolyoxometalate compound contains at least one hetero atom selected from the group consisting of P, Si, and Ge. The metal atom is at least one atom selected from the group consisting of lanthanides, Mn, Fe, Co, Ni, Cu, Ag, and Zn. |
