PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an apparatus, a program and a method for detecting a specific frequency corresponding to a code as much as possible from a sound signal even when the sound signal includes noise.SOLUTION: In an apparatus for detecting a code corresponding to a specific frequency included in a sound signal, a specific frequency band around the specific frequency is previously set in each code. The apparatus includes: frequency analysis means for detecting power of a frequency component in each specific frequency band of each code from a sound signal; maximum determination means for determining whether or not power in a specific frequency band out of respective specific frequency bands of respective codes becomes maximum in power values of other peripheral frequency bands on both sides of the specific frequency band; specific frequency detection means for detecting a specific frequency of which the power becomes maximum out of one or more specific frequency bands determined as maximum; and code output means for outputting a code corresponding to the detected specific frequency.
