<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem that manufacture of a polarization optical element and an optical low-pass filter is difficult and needs a high cost, furthermore the enlargement of the areas of the polarization optical element and the optical low-pass filter is difficult.SOLUTION: A polarization optical element is obtained by the following process: two or more types of polymeric films are laminated, where a number of laminated polymeric films is 500 to 500,000 in total, each of the two or more types of polymeric films has a uniform refractive index and has a film thickness of 0.2μm to 40μm, and a difference in refractive index between the two or more types of polymeric films is larger than or equal to 0.05.</p> |
