<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To detect abnormal state of a light source more reliably without changing the conventional configuration as much as possible, in a light source device including a plurality of light sources.SOLUTION: A light source device 1 includes a light source circuit 20 in which a plurality of CCFLs 2 are connected in parallel, a control IC 5, and a protective circuit 6. When the voltage of an FB line 12 connected with the light source circuit 20 goes above an abnormality detection voltage value continuously for an abnormality detection time or more, the protective circuit 6 detects lamp cracking of the CCFL 2. When the current value of the FB line 12 goes below an abnormality detection current value, the control IC 5 increases the voltage between terminals of each CCFL 2. Consequently, the voltage of the FB line 12 increases above the abnormality detection voltage. The control IC 5 maintains the voltage of the FB line 12 above the abnormality detection voltage, the voltage being increased above the abnormality detection voltage.</p> |
