The present invention provides an asphalt mat with increased friction and a manufacturing method thereof, in which a pull loop is easily installed; the pull loop is not deformed and the mat is not ruptured when the mat is pulled; and a frictional force between the mat and stones is further increased. A method of manufacturing an asphalt mat to increase friction includes the steps of: placing a corrugated steel plate having a corrugated cross section on a bottom plate of a mold; installing a plurality of spacers in the corrugated steel plate to horizontally support a reinforcing wire mesh at a given height above the corrugated steel plate; supporting the reinforcing wire mesh having a horizontal wire and a vertical wire with the spacers; placing a plurality of pull loop in a direction perpendicular to the reinforcing wire mesh and jointing the pull loop to the transverse wire or the vertical wire; placing asphalt concrete at a given height so that an upper portion of the pull loop is exposed from the top surface of the corrugated steel plate; and removing the mold and the corrugated steel plate after the asphalt concrete is cured. |
