PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a reflective display device in which occurrence of a moire phenomenon is sufficiently suppressed, and a method for manufacturing a reflective display device, by which occurrence of a moire phenomenon can be sufficiently suppressed and fluctuations of cell areas can be suppressed as desired.SOLUTION: The reflective display device includes a display medium sealed between two opposing substrates, in which the display medium displays as desired when a predetermined electric field is applied between the two substrates. The device includes: a partition wall disposed between the two substrates for segmenting a plurality of regions, where each region segmented by the partition wall is defined as a cell; and the display medium disposed in each cell. At least a part of branch points of the partition wall are each located within a region defined in such a way that, when a reference pattern is designed by regularly arranging unit patterns of the same shape, a branch point of the reference pattern is displaced along each side of the reference pattern extending from the branch point of the reference pattern regarded as a start point to a maximum displacement corresponding to a predetermined magnification of a half the extension length of the side, defining the above region; and furthermore, the part of branch points of the partition wall do not overlap branch points of the reference pattern. |
