PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve a problem associated with character recognition of a document and a cut-form that are introduced to a bank business branch, the problem where a recognition result of a character with a check digit is reflected to a recognition result of a character without a check digit in outputting the recognition result, and therefore it causes the character recognition result to contain an error or neglect in a monetary amount and the like that have been modified afterwards in handwriting.SOLUTION: A character recognition device includes respective means for: recognizing a character in a document; comparing a character string with a check digit to a character string without a check digit; displaying an expression that means a necessity of confirmation in a case where the comparison result produces inconsistency; displaying the character recognition result; accepting correction of the recognition result; and displaying an expression that means there is no need to confirm and displaying the character recognition result, in a case where the result of the means for comparing the character string with a check digit and the character string without a check digit produces consistency. |
