<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To present a method and device for adaptive frequency region windowing that detects time region crosstalk in cable and generates an effective TDX plot regardless of the frequency of the worst near-end crosstalk.SOLUTION: A method for adaptive frequency region windowing includes: a step 102 of receiving a crosstalk measurement result including amplitude and phase crosstalk information related to cable; a step 104 of determining one or more worst margin frequencies having one or more worst margins corresponding to the crosstalk measurement result presented in the frequency region compared with a reference value; a step 106 of selecting a variable frequency pass window from a plurality of windows, so that the selected variable frequency pass window maximizes signal propagation at the determined one or more worst margin frequencies; a step 108 of converting the measurement result presented in the frequency region into the time region by using the selected variable frequency pass window; and a step 110 of displaying the TDK result in the time region.</p> |
