<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technique relating to an outdoor unit of a heat pump-type air conditioner and capable of ensuring drainage of molten water in a short time during defrosting operation in an outdoor heat exchanger.SOLUTION: An outdoor heat exchanger 4 in an outdoor unit 2 of an air conditioner comprises: a plurality of divided heat exchangers 7 constituted by a number of vertically long plate fins 5 provided in parallel at predetermined intervals and a number of heat transfer tubes provided horizontally to penetrate the plate fins 5, and formed by dividing the plate fins 5 horizontally; and water drainage plates 8 provided between the vertically adjacent divided heat exchangers 7 and discharging molten water generated during a defrosting operation from lower ends of divided plate fins 51. With this configuration, the molten water generated in the divided plate fins 51 during the defrosting operation can be promptly fed to below the divided plate fins 51 of the divided heat exchangers 7 at a short distance and can be discharged from the water drainage plates 8. Furthermore, it is possible to reduce defrosting operation time and improve a heating capability.</p> |
