<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a paper feeder with a skew correction mechanism capable of correcting the skew occurring when paper is taken out of a storage portion or the skew caused by paper being accommodated in the storage portion in an inclined state, and at the same time suppressing the occurrence of abnormality such as paper folding during the skew correction, and also to provide an image forming apparatus equipped with the paper feeder.SOLUTION: A paper feeder comprises: a storage portion 2 for accommodating loaded paper P; a pickup roller 3 for taking out the paper P from the storage portion 2; a feed roller 4 for conveying the taken out paper P to a resist roller, and a stopper 7 which is disposed between the pickup roller 3 and the feed roller 4 and is movable between an appearance position 713 where the stopper 7 comes into contact with plural parts of the tip edges of the paper P taken out of the storage portion 2 and a retreat position 714 where the stopper 7 does not come into contact with the tip edges.</p> |
