The invention relates to a light core (1), in particular for flat lighting systems (S), comprising at least one element, preferably made of a suitable transparent plastics material, in particular acrylic glass (PMMA GS), wherein light (L) can be introduced into the light core (1) in at least one lateral edge or one end of the element by means of at least one lamp (2), and at least one element of the light core (1) has at least one surface that is processed in such a manner that damaged areas are formed therein and as a result of a light refraction in the damaged areas the light coupled in via the lamp (2) is radiated from at least one light-emitting surface. According to the invention, the intensity of the damage toward the lateral edge or the end into which the light is coupled decreases substantially uniformly from the direction of the opposite lateral edge or from the direction of the middle (M) of the light core (1). |
