PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rotation position detector suppressing damage to an IC package.SOLUTION: A magnet 20 is attached to a throttle valve 2 so as to be rotatable integrally with the throttle valve 2. An IC package 30 has a magnetic detection element 31 that outputs a signal according to a change of a magnetic flux direction generated by the rotation of a magnet 20. A cover member 40 has a bottom 41 and a cylinder part 42, and is attached to a housing 5 on a side of the bottom 41 of a cylinder part 42 so as to cover the magnet 20. A support part 50 is formed projecting from the bottom 41 toward the magnet 20 with the cover member 40 being attached to the housing 5, and supports the IC package 30 so that the magnetic detection element 31 can output the signal. A projection part 60 is formed separately from the support part 50 so as to project from the vicinity of the support part 50 of the bottom 41 to at least a position corresponding to the magnetic detection element 31 toward the magnet 20, with the cover member 40 being attached to the housing 5. |
