<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fixing device which is excellent in the separability of a recording paper after a toner image is fixed and small in energy consumption and to provide an image forming apparatus including the fixing device.SOLUTION: The rotation center of a fixing roller 12 is located just above the rotation center of a pressure roller 21 and the rotation center of a heat generation belt 11 is located in a position away from the pressure roller 21 and on the upstream side in the conveyance direction of the recording paper, with respect to the rotation center of the fixing roller 12. In other words, the rotation center of the heat generation belt 11 is located on the upstream side in the conveyance direction of the recording paper P2 from a straight line connecting the respective rotation centers of the fixing roller 12 and the pressure roller 21. Thus, the separation failure of the recording paper after passing through a fixing nip area N1 can be prevented.</p> |
