摘要 |
Catalysts for the hydration of olefines are rendered mechanically stable by the incorporation of a non-drying vegetable oil such as castor or rape oil, or a purified animal oil such as whale oil, or an aliphatic alcohol or acid of high molecular weight such as cetyl alcohol or stearic acid, or an oxygenated derivative of said acid or alcohol such as an ether, anhydride, aldehyde, or ketone, the mixture being baked before use. The use of drying oils as specified in Specifications 404,115, 415,426, and 415,427 is disclaimed. The preferred catalysts are phosphates containing phosphoric acid in excess of that forming the orthophosphates of the metals employed. According to a typical example, 1 molecule of manganese oxide, /ba1/2/be mol. of boron trioxide, and 3,6 mols. of phosphoric acid are evaporated to dryness with 5 per cent of castor oil and baked at 200 DEG C. The mass is ground and tableted with an addition of 2--3 per cent of linseed oil and rebaked.ALSO:Catalysts for the hydration of olefines are rendered mechanically stable by the incorporation of a non-drying vegetable oil such as rape or castor oil, or a purified animal oil such as whale oil, or a high-molecular aliphatic alcohol or acid such as cetyl alcohol or stearic acid, or an oxygenated derivative of said alcohol or acid such as an ether, anhydride aldehyde, or ketone, the mixture being baked before use.
