<p>A polarized illumination system (1000a) according to the first invention of the present patent application includes a light source unit (8), a polarizing unit (10) which receives light from the light source unit and polarizes the light, and an illumination unit which includes a double refraction medium (20) which receives the light which is emitted from the light source unit and passes through the polarizing unit and doubly refracts the light. To receive the light from the illumination unit, a polarization reflecting object (60) is installed in an illumination space (S) to which the light from the illumination unit is emitted.
