PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide: a stave which has simple structure and can have sufficient durability over whole area; and a blast furnace.SOLUTION: A stave 10 for a shaft is provided which is disposed on an inner face of a blast furnace. The stave 10 includes: a stave body 11 having a reference surface R serving as an inside furnace surface of the blast furnace; projecting parts 12 projecting toward the inside furnace side from the reference surface R; and a pipe line 16 which is a cooling water channel formed in an inside of the stave body 11. First distance M1 of the projection part 12 from an upper end of the stave body 11 and second distance M2 of the cooling water channel 16 from an upper end of the stave body 11 are set preferably in such a manner that the first distance M1 is larger sufficiently than the second distance M2, the first distance M1 is larger than 50% of the second distance M2, and the projection part 12 on the uppermost stage is disposed in such a manner that the temperature thereof becomes 400°C or lower. |
