<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To identify an area, which is visually observed by a driver, of in-cabin areas such as an on-vehicle system and an on-vehicle display with a high degree of accuracy.SOLUTION: An image of a driver's face is taken, and a direction of the driver's face is detected in addition to the driver's head position on the basis of the image of the driver's face. An in-cabin area, which is an in-cabin area visually observed by the driver, is identified on the basis of both the detected head position and the detected direction of the driver's face. Consequently, the in-cabin area visually observed by the driver can be identified with a high degree of accuracy.</p> |
