<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a needle thread suspending device of a multi needle sewing machine that prevents a hook member from interfering with the frame of the sewing machine while the stroke length of the hook member is arranged to be long.SOLUTION: A yarn holding member 6 is provided below a needle bar case 2. A hook member 26 comprises, on its tip, a hook portion 26a for suspending an upper yarn from a sewing needle 5 to a matter to be sewn. The hook member is arranged such that the hook portion 26a is movable with back and forth between a standby position backwardly positioned in the yarn holding member 6 and a projected position positioned below the sewing needle 5 which is on the top dead point, through the yarn holding member 6. The hook member 26 is driven with back and forth by driving devices 13 and 21. A guiding member 24 guides the hook member 26 so moved with back and forth along a guiding surface 25. The guiding surface 25 comprises a horizontal portion 25b backwardly extended, and an inclined portion 25a which is extended with an anteriorly inclined. The hook member 26 has flexibility and is guided along the guiding surface 25 with deformed shape. The horizontal portion 25b can be positioned so as to downwardly extend of a sewing machine frame M, and can be arranged to be long the stroke length of the hook member 26.</p> |
