[Class 38 (iii)] An electric valve V is connected in the series circuit of two motors A, B, so that the change from series to parallel connection of the motors may be made in a single step by closing switches 5, 6. The valve may be of the copper oxide or electrolytic type. The Specification as open tc inspection under Sect. 91 alsc states that a selenium valve or a valve of the vacuum or gaseous discharge type may be used. This subject-matter does not appear in the Specification as accepted.
