PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an air cleaner structure for a scooter type vehicle, for achieving a compact layout construction by forming an introduction pipe between a cleaner air inlet and a dirty side chamber integrally with a cleaner case, resulting in a simplified construction to facilitate the assembly.SOLUTION: The air cleaner structure for a scooter type vehicle is characterized in that an air cleaner 44 is mounted on the upper face of a unit swing engine 27 swingably supported on a vehicle body frame, a clean side chamber 48 and a dirty side chamber 49 are formed on the side of a cleaner case 45 inside the air cleaner 44 in the cross direction of the vehicle body and on the side of a cleaner cap 46 outside it, respectively, an inner partition wall 47 is laid on a mating face between the cleaner case 45 and the cleaner cap 46 for partitioning the clean side chamber 48 and the dirty side chamber 49 in the longitudinal direction of the vehicle, and an introduction pipe 54 is formed between the cleaner air inlet provided in the side face inside the cleaner case 45 and the dirty side chamber 49 integrally with the cleaner case 45 while crossing the clean side chamber 48 in the cross direction of the vehicle body. |
