PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To avoid the contamination of a paper sheet with toner re-adhered to a fixing member by preventing the toner moved from the fixing member to a separation member from agglomerating and re-adhering to the fixing member.SOLUTION: A fixing device 18 includes a fixing member 23, a pressure member 26 coming into press-contact with the fixing member 23, a separation member 28 coming into contact with the fixing member 23, a contact angle adjustment mechanism 29 changing the contact angle of the separation member 28 with the fixing member 23, between a first angle and a second angle larger than the first angle, and temperature adjustment members 24 and 31 changing the temperature of the separation member 28. The temperature adjustment member 31 decreases the temperature of the separation member 28, according to the increase of the contact angle by the contact angle adjustment mechanism 29 and the temperature adjustment member 24 increases the temperature of the separation member 28, according to the decrease of the contact angle by the contact angle adjustment mechanism 29. |
