A method and an apparatus for enabling an M2M service and an H2H service to coexist relate to the technical field of wireless communications. The method comprises: during the execution of an M2M service, determining whether the M2M service is a QoS negotiable M2M service by checking a type of the M2M service; when it is determined that the M2M service is a QoS negotiable M2M service, enabling the M2M service and an H2H service jointly use a same network resource; and when it is determined that the M2M service is a QoS non-negotiable M2M service, configuring, for the M2M service, a dedicated cell specifically used for executing the M2M service, the M2M service being a machine to machine service, and the H2H service being a human to human service. |
