FIELD: physics, computer engineering.SUBSTANCE: invention relates to means of executing a multimedia service in a wireless local area network. Method includes an access device receiving a multicast data stream sent by a data server; the access device monitoring the receiving rate of a terminal connected to the access device in real time; if the receiving rate of the terminal is higher than or equal to the multicast rate at which the access device sends multicast data, sending, by the access device in multicast mode, a multicast data stream sent by a data server to the terminal; if the receiving rate of the terminal is lower than the multicast rate, converting, by the access device, the multicast data stream sent by the data server into a unicast data stream, and sending, by the access device, a unicast data stream to the terminal.EFFECT: high quality of transmitting a multimedia data stream.14 cl, 6 dwg |
