PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To support insertion of a puncture needle into a subject.SOLUTION: An X-ray diagnostic apparatus includes: an imaging part; an imaging control part; a measurement part; a puncture amount calculation part; and a puncture amount notification part. The imaging part holds an X-ray source emitting X-rays and an X-ray detector detecting X-rays transmitted through a subject with a rotatable arm, and generates an X-ray image in a projecting direction where the X-ray source and the X-ray detector are connected. The imaging control part controls the imaging part and generates the X-ray image the projecting direction of which is inclined by a predetermined angle of less than 90° with respect to an axis direction of a puncture needle inserted into the subject.
