PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent occurence of a curvature phenomenon that a curve obtained by performing curve interpolation of a line segment connecting two end points of a polygon mesh is vastly curved without finely dividing the polygon mesh.SOLUTION: An intermediate control point can be prevented from being laterally vastly shifted to a line segment by setting both end points of the line segment as Pand P, intermediate control points as Pand P, the curvature parameter of a curve as c and a parameter as 0≤ζ≤1 and performing curve interpolation of the line segment by the following third-order polynomial having the order of a Bezier curve extended to the third order. x(ζ)=P(1-ζ)+P×3(1-ζ)ζ+P×3(1-ζ)ζ+Pζ, where P=(x+2P)/3, P=(2P+x)/3P=(x+x)/2-c/2. |
