An electrolyte separation membrane for a direct methanol fuel cell is characterized by that the membrane is manufactured by introducing sulfonate (SO3-Na+) by using N-substitution method from a polyether-amide multi block copolymer, and, then, using thermal press. The manufacturing method of an electrolyte separation membrane for a direct methanol fuel cell according to another aspect includes a step of immersing a polyether-amide multi block copolymer film in 1 M of H2SO4 solution at 50-70°C for 24-36 hours, washing several times, and drying the film in a vacuum oven at room temperature. The present invention provides an electrolyte separation membrane for a direct methanol fuel cell having an excellent hydrogen ion conductivity and an improved methanol blockage by introducing the sulfonate group by using N-substitution reaction to a polyether-amide multi block copolymer having an excellent mechanical strength and processibility. |
