<p>A structure for securing a film-shaped mirror to a plastic frame, wherein the plastic frame (1) is positioned on a metal fastening means (4); an annular pressing member (3) of the plastic frame includes an outer portion (15) having an annular convex section (11), an annular contact surface (12) and a stepped surface (14), and an inner portion (17) having an annular projecting section (16); a mirror substrate (2) of the plastic frame has an annular recessed section (8) formed in such a manner as to accommodate the annular convex section, and an annular contact surface (9); the film-shaped mirror is adhesively secured to an outer peripheral portion of a contact surface (10) of the mirror substrate (10) so as to be sandwiched between the mirror substrate and the annular pressing member, and is secured to the plastic frame through the application of tension to the film-shaped mirror by the engagement of the recessed section (8) and the convex section (11), and by pressing the film-shaped mirror between the contact surfaces of the mirror substrate and the annular pressing member; the outer portion (17) of the annular pressing member is forced to move relative to the inner portion (15) due to a shear fracture of the outer portion relative to the inner portion, thereby pressing the film-shaped mirror against the annular projecting section (16); consequently, additional tension is applied to the film-shaped mirror, and the plastic frame is held by a metal fastening ring.</p> |
