<p>PURPOSE: A rotary compressor is provided to prevent the leakage of coolant between the cylinder and the bearing due to the deformation of the cylinder. CONSTITUTION: A rotary compressor comprises one or more cylinders(310,410), a plurality of bearings, one or more rolling pistons, one or more vanes, and a mode switching unit. The cylinder has a chamber for compressing coolant and a connection hole(416). The chamber is connected through the connection hole to the mode switching unit. The diameter of the connection hole ranges from 20% to 70% of the thickness of cylinder. The mode switching unit changes the operating mode of the compressor by selectively supplying coolant of intake or discharge pressure to the cylinder chamber.</p> |
