PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a positive electrode active material for a sodium ion battery of a new type, excellent in safety and cost, and having excellent charge and discharge characteristics.SOLUTION: The positive electrode active material for a sodium ion battery is composed of a mixture of sodium fluoride (NaF) and a bivalent metal oxide (MO) (M is at least one metal element out of Fe, Mn, Ti, V, Co, and Ni) and exhibits excellent charge and discharge characteristics in the sodium ion secondary battery. |
