PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for manufacturing an absorbent article capable of keeping the state that a side flap is folded in a stable manner, and capable of suppressing a crease or a twist at a joint portion of the side flap and an absorbent body, and a positional deviation of the side flap.SOLUTION: A method for manufacturing an absorbent article includes: a step of joining a fastening member to a side flap; a step of joining to a body sheet the side flap to which the fastening member is joined; a step of folding the side flap along the edge in the width direction of the body sheet; and a step of unifying the body sheet to which the side flap is folded and an absorbent body.
