BARRIER FILM APPLICATIONS AND BARRIER FILM DISPENSERS FOR A STETHOSCOPE, AND METHODS THEREOF

The invention generally relates to barrier film applications that cover the diaphragm (head) of a stethoscope and/or barrier film dispensers for dispensing the barrier film applications. The barrier film applications and/or barrier film dispenser can be used to prevent the spread of infection which may otherwise result from the same stethoscope being used from patient to patient in a hospital and/or clinical environment. Further, the barrier film dispenser and/or a barrier film cartridge housed in the barrier film dispenser can contain multiple barrier film applications sufficiently or substantially preventing them from contamination and/or making application fast and easy. By way of example, prior to each patient exam, a health care worker can apply a new sheet of barrier film application to the diaphragm of a stethoscope, thereby substantially reducing the chance of passing on an infection or other sources of disease from one patient to another.
