PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To allow a user to acquire quality images even when photographing under a light source generating flicker.SOLUTION: An imaging device includes charge storage means for storing charge according to the intensity of incident light, detection means for detecting flicker on the basis of a plurality of output signals obtained by performing a plurality of times of charge storage with the charge storage means, calculation means for calculating the timing of the feature point of the flicker detected by the detection means on the basis of the plurality of output signals obtained by performing a plurality of times of charge storage with the charge storage means, control means for controlling the imaging timing on the basis of the timing of the feature point calculated by the calculation means, and switching means for switching between a first operation mode to perform a plurality of times of charge storage for the detection of flicker by the detection means, and a second operation mode to perform the smaller number of times of charge storage than in the first operation mode to calculate the timing of the feature point. |
