PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a new dike that disperses a force of a tsunami without directly receiving the force, when the tsunami invades the dike.SOLUTION: In a dike A in which a mountain side is formed as a closed surface and in which a sea side and a top surface are formed as opened surfaces, spaces S for receiving a tsunami are formed in such a manner as to be continuously provided in rows in a vertically divided state throughout its length, and shield plates for meandering a flow of the tsunami in such a manner that the tsunami flowing in collides with the shield plates are intermittently provided in a tensioned state within the spaces S. The dike guides the tsunami so that the tsunami finally issuing from the top surface of the dike can collide with the tsunami getting over the dike. |
