PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rolling bearing for an automobile electrical equipment and auxiliary machinery, effectively preventing separation on a rolling contact surface caused by hydrogen brittleness and used for a long period of time, under the conditions of use of the rolling bearing used for the automobile electrical equipment and auxiliary machinery. SOLUTION: This rolling bearing 1 for the automobile electrical equipment and auxiliary machinery rotatably supports a rotating shaft rotatively driven by the output of an engine in a stationary member. The rolling bearing 1 for the automobile electrical equipment and auxiliary machinery includes an inner ring 2, an outer ring 3, a plurality of rolling elements 4 interposed between the inner and outer rings, and a retainer 5 retaining the rolling elements 4, as metallic bearing members. At least one selected from the metallic bearing members is a member with the sliding surface or rolling contact surface of the member coated with a plant-derived polyhydric alcohol compound.
