PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a folding device which can bundle paper in zigzag shape to deliver it as a product even in a swelling state near a folding perforation in the paper with its thickness exceeding 170μm. SOLUTION: The folding device 1 includes a shooter 11 delivering continuous paper downward while swinging it; a spiral part comprising at least a pair of spirals 4, 5 for folding the continuous paper 2 delivered from the shooter 11, in zigzag shape while transferring it downward; and a conveyor part 10 changing the direction of the continuous paper 2 folded by the spiral part and delivered, into a substantially horizontal direction to transfer it.
