PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a means capable of reducing an area of a semipermeable membrane provided for making an ink chamber of an ink cartridge communicate with the atmosphere. SOLUTION: The ink cartridge 30 includes a body 31 having the ink chamber 36 where the ink is stored, an ink supply section 37 which is provided in the body 31 and makes the ink stored in the ink chamber 36 flow out to the outside, and an atmosphere communicating section 38 which is provided in the body 31 and can make the air flow into the ink chamber 36. A cartridge mounting section 110 includes a case 101 where four ink cartridges 30 are inserted, four gas flow paths 107 which are provided in the case 10 and can be connected with the respective atmosphere communicating section 38, a merging path 108 which is connected with four gas flow paths 107 and has an opening 109 in a place different from the connection section with respective gas paths 107, and the semipermeable membrane 124 which seals the opening 109 of the merging path 108.
