The present invention relates to a portable terminal outputting clipboards and a controlling method thereof. The portable terminal comprises a display unit displaying clipboards distinguished by a plurality of sections in at least some areas; a memory storing content included in the clipboards; and a control unit which arranges the content according to a configuration standard and outputs the content in an order of being arranged in the sections. The configuration standards are set up differently by a user′s choice, and the content is output in different orders according to the configuration standard.
