<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily perform the work of attaching a corner contact member to a step part where a riser surface and a floor surface cross and spreading a carpet on the floor surface so as to be continuous to the corner contact member, and to appropriately prevent the corner contact member attached to the step part and the carpet spread on the floor surface from freely shifting. <P>SOLUTION: The corner contact member 10 to be attached to the step part where the riser surface 1 and the floor surface 2 cross and the carpet 20 to be spread on the floor surface are used. While a plurality of locking projections 14 projected upwards are provided on a floor surface part 12 of the corner contact member to be attached to the floor surface of the step part, the carpet is provided with through-holes corresponding to the locking projections.
