PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for a radio terminal having no PPPoE host functions implemented therein to be able to switch access points safely. SOLUTION: An access point includes: authentication information management means of acquiring a user identifier, a password and an access network operator identifier which are the authentication information needed for connecting to an AC (access concentrator) from a radio terminal and recording the acquired information after correlating it with the identifier of the radio terminal in a storage unit; PPPoE host function means of establishing a PPPoE session between it and the AC by using the authentication information; transfer means of extracting the identifier of a radio terminal from a received packet and then transferring the packet to a PPPoE session corresponding to the radio terminal; and control means of determining whether the authentication information management means has the identifier of the radio terminal recorded therein and, when recorded, outputting the packet to the transfer means, or when not recorded, sends a directive to the authentication information management means to acquire authentication information about the radio terminal.
