The present invention relates to a composition comprising metformin and coenzyme Q10 as active ingredients for the prevention or treatment of an immune disease, wherein the metformin and coenzyme Q10 are used to prevent or treat an immune disease caused by the abnormality of an immune response. According to the present invention, the combined administration of the metformin and the coenzyme Q10 has effects of inhibiting the expression of TNF-alpha, IL-6, IL-17, IFN-gamma and/or IL-1b which are inflammatory cytokines and reducing the differentiation of osteoclasts in an arthritis-induced animal model or inhibiting the infiltration of inflammatory cells.
