<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus that suppresses deterioration of image quality due to load variation of an intermediate transfer body without providing any special member for applying rotation load to an intermediate transfer body. <P>SOLUTION: When the thickness of a transfer material P is not less than a predetermined thickness, primary transfer voltage control means 20 included in an image forming apparatus 100 applies second voltage, which has the same polarity as first voltage and is larger than the first voltage by a predetermined value, to primary transfer means 5, the first voltage being applied to the primary transfer means for primary transfer when the thickness of the transfer material P is less than the predetermined thickness. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT</p> |
