PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a gas alarm unit which makes it possible to easily and precisely set the alarm density output of the gas alarm unit and its alarm density output setting method. SOLUTION: The alarm unit is equipped with a gas detecting mechanism 18 which is equipped with a gas detecting element 10 and obtains a gas detection output based upon the gas detection of the gas detecting element 10 and an alarm mechanism 14 which generates an alarm when the gas detection output exceeds an alarm density output and further equipped with a storage part 16 which stores an output correlation table showing the density dependency of the gas detection output based upon the detected gas detection of the gas detecting element 10; and the gas detecting mechanism 18 is so constituted as to measure a reference output when the gas detecting element 10 detects reference output measurement gas of specific density and the alarm unit is equipped with an arithmetic part 17 which computes the alarm density output to the alarm density of the detected gas from the output correlation table according to the reference output and an alarm density output storage part 16 which stores the alarm density output. |
