PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a newly designed granular material container which allows an outlet to close automatically during rotation as well as reduces the number of parts. SOLUTION: The granular material container includes a container body 2 which has an annular circumferential wall 4 on a circular bottom wall with a storage section formed inside for a plurality of granular materials C and a cover 5 which has a circumferential wall 6 surrounding the container body 2 with a top wall 7 thereon. The outlet A leading to the storage section is formed on the top wall of the cover; a blocking portion 8 for closing the outlet A is integrally formed with the bottom wall; a handling piece 9, which has slits extending in the circumferential direction and opens or closes the outlet A by rotating the container body 2 along the circumferential direction, is formed on a cover circumferential wall 6; a recessed portion n extending in the circumferential direction is formed inwardly by depressing a part 4a of a body circumferential wall 4 in the radial direction; an elastic tab 10 is formed in a circumferential wall 4a forming the recessed portion n; and a holding portion 11 is formed on the inside of the cover circumferential wall 6 to deform the elastic tab 10 so as to cause an elastic restoring force therein such that the elastic tab top end 10a abuts thereto and the container body 2 rotates in the reverse direction.
