PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a light wave radar apparatus which facilitates measuring operations while comparatively widening a measurable range along the line of sight without interchanging telescopes. SOLUTION: A first and second collimator optical systems 106A and 106B roughly parallelize a first and second transmitting light A4 and A5, respectively. The first and second collimator optical systems 106A and 106B can then adjust the respective beam diameters and light condensing distances of the first and second transmitting light A4 and A5. The respective orthogonally polarized components of the first transmitting light A4 and second transmitting light A5 passed through the first collimator optical system 106A and second collimator optical system 106B are combined by a polarization combination separation means 108. Transmitting light consisting of two orthogonally polarized components is irradiated towards an intended target in the atmosphere by a telescope 109 in which transmitting and receiving means are arranged coaxially.
