PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a controller for a polishing member moving device, capable of preventing the operation of the polishing member moving device in a state inappropriate for the operation. SOLUTION: A relay board 54 and an automatic winding device board 67 have: automatic winding device winding processing of executing control of operating an automatic winding device, moving a cloth belt by driving force of a tension motor and moving an unused cloth belt to a position abutting on a Pachinko ball on the basis of the instruction of a batch operation panel 60 or a switch panel 55; and relay board automatic winding device processing of invalidating the instruction when there is the instruction of the batch operation panel 60 or the switch panel 55 in the situation that the automatic winding device cannot be operated.
